One day when I came home from school my dad had some news. He called Sam so he could tell us together. The news was that my rabbit Fluffy has been at the vets in wellington because her organs were shutting down. As soon as he said that I started to cry. He asked me if I wanted to go see her before she got put down. I said yes. I walked in to the room she was in and she was just lying there not doing anything. I didn’t know what to do. In the end I started to stroke her and give her hugs. Once I said goodbye I said the vet he should put her down to put her out of her misery. After I said that I looked at Fluffy and she ‘smiled’. Now whenever I go to the vets I always think of her! =(

Hi,
A great little story. I used to have a rabbit and a similar thing happened to him. It’s sad, but its good that you remember the happy times with Fluffy and her smiling!

This is such a sad story – who’d be a vet? Well done for writing such an emotional short story about a place in Wellington.
