Before it was a residential home it was a maternity home. My Mum and my Dad were both born here. Nowadays my Grandma is the manager and my Mum is a senior carer. So I visit a lot when picking up my Mum or at annual fete’s.
It first opened as a maternity home in 1924 when J. Howard Fox and his cousin Gerald Fox paid for it.
